Toyota Motor Philippines is adding more names to its electrified lineup, along with something new for its most legendary nameplate. The Hilux BEV and Land Cruiser HEV are officially here, along with the highly anticipated Land Cruiser FJ.
The legend continues

Mere months after its debut in Japan, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ makes an arrival on our shores. It retains the boxy and rugged nature previously seen in the FJ Cruiser and took it to modern times. Toyota said the FJ means “Freedom and Joy” which customers of this car most likely aspire to have.
The Land Cruiser FJ will come in two trims with both having 4×4 drivetrains. It will be powered by a 2.7L naturally aspirated gasoline engine that makes 166ps and 245Nm of torque, sending power to the wheels with a 6-speed automatic. There’s also a Differential Lock, Auto Limited Slip Differential, and a 2nd Start Mode to make your adventures easier.
Retro-rugged seems to be the main aesthetic of the Land Cruiser FJ. It has a boxy styling but in a more compact form, making it easier to handle inside the city.
Its cabin is as utilitarian as the exterior, with lots of physical buttons. Both trims get 7-inch instrument cluster and leather upholstery but the upper trim gets leather on the steering wheel and shift knob along with a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and panoramic view monitor.
Both have Active Traction Control System but only the upper trim gets the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 Advanced Driver Assist System.
Heritage driving forward

Also arriving at PIMS is another LC, this time the Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid. It looks mostly the same as the non-electrified offering, except for the Jet Black Garnish.
The biggest difference lies underneath the metal. The ICE Land Cruiser is powered by a 3.3L V6 diesel, while the new hybrid has a 3.4L V6 gasoline engine with twin turbo. It produces 415ps or 109 more than the diesel, and has 650Nm of torque. Aside from this, the only other mechanical change is the electric power steering.
Invincible spirit, electrified

The other huge star in Toyota’s booth is the all-new Hilux. It has a new front face featuring a honeycomb grille for the ICE trim while the BEV retains that design cue in a flatter treatment. Yes, you read that right, the BEV version has also arrived in the country. This electrified trim has 196ps and 469Nm of torque, with a 315-km range for its 59.2 kWh battery.
Of course, it’s loaded with the latest tech. These include LED with Auto-Levelling headlights, Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, 12.3-inch touchscreen with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, panoramic view monitor, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

The diesel version is also available and comes in 7 trims. It’s powered by the 2.8L 1GD-FTV diesel engine that makes 204ps and 500Nm for the 6-speed automatic, and 420Nm for those with the 6-speed manual.
It will be available with LED with Auto Levelling headlights, Rear Differential Lock, Electronic Parking Brake, 7 airbags, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ will come in at PHP 2,235,000 for the TX trim while the VX is at PHP 2,575,000. Meanwhile, the new Land Cruiser LC300 HEV is at PHP 6,930,000. Last, the all-new Toyota Hilux Diesel starts at PHP 1,772,000 with the Conquest 4×2 starting at PHP 2,273,000. As for the Hilux BEV, its priced at PHP 2,990,000.
