The BMW X1 Plug-in Hybrid redefines luxury in sustainable living

The value in luxury is no longer limited to how much a brand is worth. Rather, the true meaning of luxury lies in what kind of benefit it brings to the table and what difference it makes in the world today. In an age where consumerism is the driving force of economies, brands are posed with the challenge of creating sustainable value, especially when it comes to products that are meant to set the benchmark in modern-day, eco-friendly living.

BMW sets the pace by elevating the X1 from a gas-powered vehicle to a plug-in hybrid. The X1 xDrive25e xLine is powered by a 1.5-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo 3-cylinder engine with a hybrid-specific xDrive all-wheel drive system.

With a 7-speed Steptronic transmission, it delivers an output of up to 245-horsepower and 477 Nm of torque; and has an electric consumption of up to 7.29 km/kWh, with an EV range of up to 102 km. This entire package offers the best of both worlds to a wider market segment, making luxury accessible to more people.

Apart from the updated performance, BMW remains uncompromised when it comes to setting the bar in elegant styling. From nose to tail, the X1 exudes a beautiful fluidity that depicts movement and grace in one clean line.

To date, the X1 PHEV retains the classic, signature BMW double-kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights with high-beam assist, 18-inch star-spoke style alloy wheels, and a power tailgate for maximum convenience.

Following through to the interior, the BMW X1 defines premium at its finest, while providing comfort and convenience for both driver and passenger, starting with power-adjust seats, luxury leather details, and thoughtfully placed stowage compartments.

It’s equipped with technology features like the BMW Live Cockpit Plus with a 10.7-inch wide-screen display that is powered by the latest iDrive Operating System 9. It also comes with a 10.25-inch luxury instrument cluster panel and an infotainment system with smartphone integration that allows for hands-free connectivity via Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. For easy charging, passengers can count on Type-C charging connectors and a wireless charging dock right in the center of the console.

BMW redefines what it means to be in the premium segment. It is no longer simply about having the most stylish looks. Instead, BMW is all about offering the latest in cutting-edge technology that is centered around the driving experience and what it means to be part of a bigger global segment. The X1 is more than your usual luxury subcompact SUV. It is your first step into the luxury plug-in hybrid segment, with a brand that understands what it means to pave the way into premium sustainability.
