Pioneer Trucks Philippines has been officially appointed as the exclusive distributor of Maxus commercial trucks in the Philippines. The appointment comes from SAIC Motor, one of the world’s largest and most advanced automotive manufacturers, marking the official entry of Maxus’ full range of commercial vehicles—both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) variants—into the Philippine market.

The announcement coincides with the 2025 Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) Summit, where Pioneer Trucks is debuting two of Maxus’ newest all-electric trucks: the ES80 6-Wheeler and the T1. These zero-emission commercial vehicles represent a new chapter in sustainable transport and logistics for Filipino businesses.
Driving the Future of Transport
With this new partnership, Pioneer Trucks Philippines will handle sales, distribution, and aftersales services for the full Maxus commercial lineup across the country. This includes both electric and traditional diesel models, giving local fleet operators the flexibility to transition toward cleaner mobility at their own pace.

“With Maxus now part of our portfolio, we’re not only introducing new products—we’re helping shape the future of commercial transport in the Philippines,” said Benedict Allen Go, President and CEO of Pioneer Trucks Philippines. “Our goal is to support local businesses with dependable vehicles, whether they choose EVs or traditional powertrains.”
EV Lineup Highlights

The Maxus ES80 6-Wheeler and Maxus T1 headline Pioneer Trucks’ exhibit at the EVAP Summit.
ES80 6-Wheeler – Powered by a 53.58 kWh CATL lithium-phosphate battery, the ES80 6W delivers 134 hp and 270 Nm of torque through rear-wheel drive. It has a payload capacity of up to 2.5 tons and a range of 302 km (half load). Fast charging takes just 1.2 hours (DC), making it ideal for logistics and last-mile delivery operators looking to cut emissions without compromising performance.

T1 – Designed for medium-duty operations, the T1 is equipped with either a 100 kWh or 120 kWh battery, producing 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque. It boasts a driving range of up to 510 km (half load) on a single charge, with a payload capacity of up to 4 tons. The T1’s robust chassis can be configured for multiple body applications including dropside, aluminum van, or wing van setups—tailored for diverse commercial needs.
Both trucks feature ABS + EBD, hydraulic brakes, air conditioning, an LCD instrument cluster, and Bluetooth audio. Safety and convenience systems such as pedestrian and turning reminders, battery heat management, and brake energy recovery come standard.
Expanding the Lineup Soon
Beyond the ES80 6W and T1, Pioneer Trucks will also offer the ES80 4-Wheeler light truck and the EH300, a heavy-duty 8.5-ton model designed for large-scale logistics and distribution. All ICE-powered versions of Maxus trucks will also be available for businesses that prefer conventional diesel power.
