In time for World EV Day on September 9, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) unveiled the official poster and opened registration for the 14th Philippine EV Summit (PEVS), themed “Driving ASEAN Forward: Building an Integrated Electric Mobility Ecosystem.”
The three-day summit runs October 22 to 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
The launch comes at what EVAP is calling an inflection point for the industry: electrified vehicle sales in the Philippines have more than doubled in 2026 even as overall new-car sales have declined, and the national government has set a public target of 50 percent EV penetration on Philippine roads by 2040.
“This is probably the most important year yet for discussions around EVs in the Philippines,” said EVAP President Willy Q. Tee Ten. “We’ve gone from convincing people that EVs work here to actually building the ecosystem around them — the vehicles, the chargers, the financing, the policy. That’s exactly what we’re bringing together on one show floor this October.”
Now in its 14th year, PEVS has grown into a three-day walkthrough of the full electric mobility value chain. Across the show floor, visitors will be able to test drive the latest EV models; compare two-wheelers and e-tricycles side-by-side with four-wheel vehicles; explore a complete charging ecosystem, from setups built for the home to solutions engineered for large-scale industrial and fleet operations; sit down with banking, financing, and insurance partners to work through the real numbers on switching to electric; and hear directly from policy experts, including from the Department of Energy, on the regulatory roadmap shaping the market.
The theme also puts the Philippines’ EV transition in the context of the region with the country chairing ASEAN activities this year.
“We’re not building this ecosystem for the Philippines alone,” Tee Ten said. “The Philippines is part of a region of nearly 700 million people, and this year’s Summit is about showing that ASEAN is ready to move together — on standards, on manufacturing, and on the policies that get more people into electric vehicles,” Tee Ten added.
PEVS 2026’s lineup features ACMobility Holdings Inc., the AutoHub Group of Companies, Toyota Motor Philippines, and the Department of Energy (DOE).
