Falken Philippines launches Road Hazard Ready Tire Warranty Program

Falken Tire Philippines, through its exclusive distributor JM Far East, Inc., has rolled out a new warranty program that speaks directly to the realities of driving on local roads.

Called Road Hazard Ready (RHR), the program covers eligible passenger, SUV/4×4, and van/light truck (PLT) tires purchased starting April 20, 2026, giving customers a level of protection that goes beyond the usual factory warranty.

It’s a simple idea: tires don’t fail in a vacuum. They fail because of what they run over.

Coverage That Reflects What Actually Happens on the Road

RHR is designed to cover unrepairable damage caused by road hazards— the kind most drivers encounter sooner or later.

That includes:

  • Deep punctures that can’t be repaired or vulcanized
  • Cuts on the tread or sidewall that expose internal cords
  • Impact damage from potholes and uneven pavement
  • Sidewall damage from road contact
  • Runflat damage, subject to inspection

If the damage meets the criteria, Falken provides a one-to-one replacement using the same tire or the closest available equivalent.

Coverage runs for 12 months from purchase, or until the tire reaches 5mm tread depth, whichever comes first.

Who Qualifies

The program applies to select Falken PLT tires that are:

  • Brand new and unused
  • Distributed locally by JM Far East, Inc.
  • Purchased through authorized dealers or official online stores

There’s also a minimum requirement: at least two tires must be purchased in a single transaction, same size, same vehicle application.

Eligible tire product line include Sincera, Ziex, Azenis FK510 series, Azenis FK520L, Wildpeak, and Linam. Track-focused models like Azenis RT660 and RT615K+ are not part of the program.

Your Coverage Starts with Registration

To activate coverage, buyers need to register within seven days from date of purchase through the official RHR portal.

That means submitting:

  • Official receipt or sales invoice
  • Dealer details
  • Tire specifications and DOT markings
  • Clear photos of the vehicle and tires

Miss the registration window? No worries—your tires are still covered by the 5-year standard warranty against manufacturing defects.

Warranty Depends on Tire Age

Coverage is tied to the tire’s date of manufacture (DOT):

  • Tires made between 2017 and 2026 are eligible (as of 2026)

For tires with a manufacture date of up to six years:

  • Year 1: Road Hazard Ready + standard warranty against manufacturing defects
  • Years 2–5: standard warranty against manufacturing defects

For tires with a manufacture date of seven to nine years:

  • Year 1 only: Road Hazard Ready + standard warrantyagainst manufacturing defects

Coverage Exclusions

RHR is specific about its limits. It won’t cover:

  • Repairable punctures or cosmetic damage
  • Abuse—racing, drifting, off-road use
  • Poor maintenance or incorrect installation
  • Wear and tear
  • Flood, fire, or collision damage
  • Tires used in taxis and car rental services
  • Original equipment and spare tires

In short, it’s for normal driving—not edge cases.

How Claims Work

Claims are filed online, backed up by photo and video evidence, followed by a live technical inspection via video call.

Timelines are straightforward:

  • Registration: 1–2 business days
  • Claim approval: 2–4 business days
  • Replacement availability:
    • NCR: at least 5 days
    • Luzon: 7 days
    • Visayas/Mindanao: 14 days

Each tire gets one replacement, once approved. That’s it.

Straightforward Coverage for Unpredictable Roads

There’s nothing complicated about what Falken is trying to do here. Roads aren’t perfect, and tires take the hit.

Road Hazard Ready simply acknowledges that—and builds a warranty around it to help protect your investment.
