Subaru says local units unaffected by battery drain issue so far

Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. has noted recent media reports originating from the United States regarding a legal filing related to battery performance in certain Subaru models.

We understand that such reports can lead to questions from our owners and would like to provide an update on the situation.

Local Service Data Audit

Upon becoming aware of these reports, our technical team conducted an immediate audit of our local service records. Our data indicates that there has been no unusual trend or uptick in battery-related concerns within Philippines. The performance of the Subaru vehicles remains consistent with standard operating expectations.

Ongoing Clarification with Subaru Corporation

We are currently in communication with Subaru Corporation (Japan) to clarify the facts surrounding the allegations mentioned in the U.S. reports and to confirm whether the components cited have any relevance to the models distributed in our region.

Moving Forward

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the circumstances being discussed in the U.S. apply to vehicles locally. We remain committed to the highest standards of vehicle reliability and will provide further updates as more information is clarified by the manufacturer.
