Porsche tops JD Power 2026 USA initial quality study

Porsche continues to set the benchmark for quality and customer satisfaction after earning the highest overall ranking in the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). Adding to the brand’s achievement, the iconic Porsche 911 was named the highest-ranked model in the study for the second consecutive year, while also leading the Premium Sporty Car segment.

The J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study is one of the automotive industry’s most respected quality benchmarks, measuring customer-reported issues experienced during the first 90 days of vehicle ownership. The study evaluates key areas including driving experience, exterior, driver assistance systems, controls and displays, infotainment, interior, and powertrain.

Porsche achieved an industry-leading score of 138 Problems Per Hundred Vehicles (PPH)—a significant improvement from last year’s score of 188—to secure the highest overall ranking among all automotive brands evaluated. The results highlight Porsche’s unwavering commitment to precision engineering, exceptional craftsmanship, and delivering an ownership experience that exceeds customer expectations.

The Porsche 911 also reinforced its legendary reputation by earning the study’s highest overall model ranking for the second consecutive year. For more than six decades, the 911 has remained the benchmark for sports cars, combining everyday usability with unmistakable performance, timeless design, and continuous innovation.

“The results of the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study are a special distinction, as they are based directly on feedback from our customers,” said Dr. Michael Leiters, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. “Quality is a central element of our corporate strategy, and these results show that we are on the right track. This makes us proud and at the same time motivates us to live up to our high quality standards every single day.”

For customers in the Philippines, this global recognition is complemented by Porsche Philippines’ commitment to delivering world-class ownership and aftersales support. From factory-trained technicians and advanced diagnostic equipment to the country’s first and only authorized Porsche High-Voltage Center, Porsche owners can expect the same level of expertise and care throughout their ownership journey.

The latest recognition is reflected across the Porsche 911 lineup available in the Philippines. Customers can choose from the 911 Carrera GTS and the 911 Targa 4 GTS, featuring Porsche’s innovative T-Hybrid performance technology, the track-focused 911 GT3, and the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, which combines GT3 performance with a more understated design. Soon joining the local lineup is the new  992.2 Turbo S, bringing Porsche’s iconic sports car together with the brand’s latest hybrid performance technology. Together, these models embody Porsche’s relentless pursuit of precision, performance, and everyday usability.

As Porsche continues to shape the future of the sports car, its latest recognition from J.D. Power further reinforces the brand’s commitment to building vehicles that deliver exceptional quality, reliability, and driving enjoyment from the very first drive.
