HMPH partners with ASEAN National Organizing Council, supports 2026 ASEAN Summit

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) together with the ASEAN National Organizing Council (NOC) held a ceremonial signing earlier today for the provision of 50 Hyundai SANTA FE units, which will serve as official protocol vehicles supporting operational personnel during the 2026 ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in the Philippines. In November, delegates from around the world are slated to gather at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) to tackle key regional issues at this summit.

Beyond ensuring safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation, the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and provision of vehicles is part of a continuing collaboration that reinforces Hyundai Motor Company’s commitment to supporting national initiatives.

“We are committed to supporting ASEAN’s vision of connectivity, sustainability, and innovation by providing safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility,” Hyundai Motor Group Senior Vice President of Global Policy Office, Mr. Dong Jo Kim said in his special message. “We hope that this official vehicle support will serve as a meaningful step toward a successful future for the Philippines and ASEAN.” 

The event was graced by key executives from Hyundai Motor Group, Hyundai Motor Philippines, and ASEAN NOC, namely HMG Senior Vice President for Global Policy Office, Dong Jo Kim; HMPH President, Mr. Jiho Son; HMPH Managing Director, Mr. Cecil Capacete; Director-General of the ASEAN NOC, Undersecretary Ma. Hellen Dela Vega; Head of Operations, ASEAN NOC, MGen. Potenciano Camba (Ret.); and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of the Philippines Lee Sang-Hwa.

“We are honored by the trust and confidence placed in Hyundai Motor Philippines. It is with great pride that we support the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN Summit as we strengthen our commitment to advance meaningful mobility,” said HMPH President, Mr. Jiho Son.


HMPH proudly joins the nation in helping ensure a safe and successful 2026 ASEAN Summit, underscoring its commitment to innovation, excellence, and human-centric progress.

All vehicles provider under this arrangement are based on the in-kind support of Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. Vehicles will be returned to Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. upon completion of the ASEAN 2026 hosting period, in keeping with the Government’s commitment to the prudent use of public resources.
