Kia has been putting hit after hit in the EV space in the last few years. They had their breakthrough with the EV6 that was launched here in 2023. It was followed a year later by the EV9 which had World Car of the Year and World EV of the Year accolades under its belt. They went a little more compact with the recent EV5 that was introduced in the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. Now, they are going to the more attainable segment.
The all-new Kia EV3 is a more compact crossover that’s a full battery-electric vehicle. It promises around 511 km of NEDC range in a package that’s under PHP 2M. Despite the more attainable price tag, it still has a lot of Kia’s signature in their EV lineup that make it similar to its bigger brothers.
Just like in the Turbo Hybrid lineup, the EV line has a very similar face across the models. You can easily mistake the EV3 as the EV5 until you notice the different design on the wheels. The rear was made more distinct with the vertical-oriented taillights and a more sophisticated rear bumper design. This is aided by an LED lighting system in all corners, 17-inch Alloy Wheels, Roof Rack, and a Rear Spoiler.
The cabin has a little more identity and distinction. It still has the dual panoramic screen for the instrument cluster and touchscreen, as well as 2 wireless chargers under the dashboard. What makes the EV3 unique is the floating armrest in between the front seats that also extends forward. This allows it to be used as a table for working on the go or during those quick drive-thrus.
There’s also an 8-way Power Adjustable Driver’s Seat with Lumbar Support, Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 6 Speakers. Rear occupants will appreciate the Rear Air Vents, as well as the Backrest-Mounted USB Ports so you won’t have to duck down just to plug in your device.
Under the hood is a frunk for smaller items like shoes, and emergency clothes. But further under is a single electric motor that makes 204 PS and 283 Nm of torque. It’s paired to a 58.3 kWh battery and as stated earlier, makes for 511 of NEDC range. It can be charged from 10% – 80% in 5 hours and 20 minutes, or 29 minutes of fast 350 kW charging.
The single variant of the EV3 is also fitted with all the latest safety bits from Kia. There’s 6 Airbags, Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, Downhill Brake Control, and High Beam Assist. It also has Kia Drivewise that hosts Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance, and Lane Keeping Assist among others.
The Kia EV3 will come with a price tag of PHP 1,898,000. It has an introductory price of PHP 1,868,000 and will come with a free wall charger and 5 years of FREE PMS until October 31, 2026.
It will be available in Aventurine Green and Terra Cotta that comes with Dark Blue 2-tone interior theme. The other colors of Frost Blue, Ivory Silver, Shale Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, and Snow White Pearl will have a Subtle Grey interior theme.
The price, features, and the fact that it’s a globally-recognized award-winner makes the all-new Kia EV3 a very attractive means of green mobility.
