Bentley has unveiled the all-new Torcal in London, introducing its fourth model line and the company’s first fully electric vehicle.
Designed, engineered and built in Crewe, the Torcal combines Bentley’s traditional craftsmanship and luxury with an all-electric powertrain and the marque’s latest chassis and cabin technologies. Bentley describes the new model as a significant investment in British manufacturing and a new expression of the brand for the electric era.
“The Torcal is a Bentley first and foremost, created by hand by people who care, using the best available materials and technology to blend heritage with cutting-edge innovation,” said Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley.
A new design direction
Led by Design Director Robin Page, the Torcal introduces a new design language while retaining familiar Bentley proportions. Four key design principles—proportion, graphic identity, surface treatment and detail—shape its appearance.

A long wheelbase, short overhangs and proud front end give the Torcal a powerful stance, while clean body surfaces emphasize its length and rear haunches. Inside, the cabin continues the same approach with a symmetrical dashboard inspired by Bentley’s winged emblem and a combination of leather, wood veneer and aluminum.
The Torcal measures five metres long, making it the shortest four-door model in Bentley’s range. Despite its dimensions, it offers a 460-liter luggage compartment and an 11.1-metre turning circle.
Electric performance with Bentley character
The Torcal Core derivative uses two permanent magnet synchronous motors, one on each axle, producing up to 821 HP and 1155 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, or 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
A 113.2 kWh high-voltage battery provides a range of up to 375 miles, or 600 km WLTP. With
charging speeds of up to 400 kW, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in under
20 minutes, while around 100 miles or 161 km of range can be added in seven minutes.
The Torcal also introduces fully active suspension to a Bentley for the first time, complemented by adaptive two-valve dampers and electronic all-wheel steering. The rear wheels can steer by up to five degrees, improving maneuverability at low speeds and agility at higher speeds.
Four Experience Modes—Bentley, Comfort, Sport and Refresh—adjust the chassis, powertrain, lighting, sound and digital environment to suit different journeys and driving styles.
Luxury with a modern approach
Bentley has equipped the Torcal with new comfort and technology features, including standard seats with 16-way adjustment, heating and ventilation. Postural Adjust and Smart Seat Climate systems are also available, while the dedicated Wellness Seat specification adds an extended massage system.

The cabin introduces new sustainable materials, including what Bentley says is the world’s first 100-percent Merino wool automotive fabric certified by the Responsible Wool Standard. Mulliner options include Ombré Walnut veneer and Sunburst Aluminum.
Technology includes curved OLED displays, augmented-reality head-up display, facial recognition and a smartphone-based digital key. Up to 25 radars, sensors and cameras support the vehicle’s latest driver-assistance and parking systems.
Bentley has also developed a distinctive soundscape for its first EV. Rather than simply recreating a combustion engine, the system uses recordings of instruments, including drums, viola and bass guitar, to provide feedback corresponding to acceleration and vehicle speed.

The Torcal will launch in two versions. The core model produces 821 HP and 1,155 Nm, while the more performance-focused S develops the full 888 HP and 1,350 Nm output.
With the Torcal, Bentley brings together electric performance, advanced technology and the craftsmanship for which the marque is known, while opening a new chapter for the British luxury carmaker.
