New 800-hp Lamborghini Urus SE hybrid marks next chapter of performance

Since its debut, the Lamborghini Urus has redefined the SUV landscape and has accelerated the Raging Bull brand’s charge toward record-breaking performance. The model continues this momentum with the introduction of the new Urus SE – the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) version of the segment-defining Super SUV.

The Urus SE shows Lamborghini’s commitment to innovation and sustainability while preserving the performance DNA that defines the Raging Bull brand. Its introduction is aligned with Lamborghini’s “Direzione Cor Tauri” electrification strategy, which aims to reduce the company’s carbon emissions by 50%.

The new Lamborghini Urus SE’s hybrid power plant allows the plug-in hybrid super SUV an electric-only driving range of up to 60 kilometers.

Together with the all-new Lamborghini Revuelto and Temerario High Performance Electrified Vehicles, the Urus SE comprises the brand’s electrified model range.

At the heart of the new Urus SE is a newly developed plug-in hybrid system combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor that sources energy from a 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery. This configuration delivers 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque. It lets the Urus SE sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 312 km/h.

These figures make the Urus SE the most powerful Urus ever and the fastest production car in the segment, setting a new benchmark in the Super SUV category.

In the Urus SE’s plug-in hybrid system, the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor, placed between the V8 combustion engine and the 8-speed automatic transmission, can also power the wheels on its own. This allows the model an electric-only driving range of up to 60 kilometers.

The Urus SE also features an advanced all-wheel-drive system with active torque vectoring, ensuring maximum traction and stability.

Aerodynamics plays a pivotal role in the Urus SE’s performance, with redesigned front and rear bumpers that improve airflow and reduce drag. Lamborghini has incorporated a lighter chassis structure, using a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber to enhance agility without compromising strength.

The adaptive air suspension system, now further refined, provides superior ride comfort and precise handling, adapting to different terrains with ease.

The new Urus SE comes with a next-generation digital cockpit featuring a 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen that provides real-time performance data, navigation, and connectivity functions. Lamborghini’s latest infotainment system offers seamless smartphone integration.

With the new Urus SE at the forefront of Lamborghini’s growth strategy, the brand is on course to continue its success. It has maintained its upward momentum in the first quarter of the year, consistent with the record global deliveries it achieved in the past four years, and positioning Lamborghini as one of the strongest luxury brands in the world.
