An EV pickup that should be on your Radar: UAAGI electrifies PH EV pickup segment with the launch of Radar brand

Prolific multi-brand automotive distributor United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) is electrifying the local pickup segment with the debut last Friday of the Radar brand at Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City.

“With the launch of Radar, UAAGI not only diversifies its vehicle lineup but also contributes to the expansion of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market across the archipelago. We at UAAGI remain committed to meeting the evolving demands of Filipino motorists. And with the introduction of Radar, our goal is to lead the charge in this growing segment,” says UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin.

A global brand under the Geely Auto Group, Radar (also known as Riddara in some markets) specializes in midsize electric and plug‑in hybrid pickups. Around the world, Radar is known for its electrified powertrains, sturdy build quality, and modern tech and safety appointments, making it ideal for both fleet and personal use.

In China, Radar has commanded over 50 percent of the NEV pickup market since 2023, and continues to hold the distinction of being the No.1 NEV Pickup. Globally, Radar maintains a robust market presence in several territories including the Asia-Pacific region, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central America, and South America, underscoring the brand’s  international appeal and product competitiveness.

And now as it enters the pickup-crazy Philippine market, Radar is primed to establish its foothold in the fast-growing local NEV pickup segment, and enters with a clear message: “Built Electric. Built Solid.”

In line with the announcement of UAAGI’s official distributorship of Radar in the Philippines is the brand’s launch of its flagship model, the RD6. This modern, electrified pickup is available in both EV and PHEV powertrains, with multiple configurations catering to every need and lifestyle.
