Honda reveals updated CBR400R with new look and enhanced performance

Honda enthusiasts and motorcycle aficionados have reason to rejoice as Honda unveils the revamped CBR400R, a road sports model that promises an exhilarating riding experience coupled with enhanced features and a striking new appearance. The upgraded CBR400R, featuring a lightweight, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, in-line 2-cylinder, 399 cc engine packaged in a compact and maneuverable body, is set to hit the roads with a blend of style and performance.

Scheduled for release in March, the new Honda CBR400R boasts a fresh exterior design with newly shaped cowls, headlights, and taillights, giving the bike a dynamic and modern aesthetic. Embracing the development concept of “Modern Racing Art,” the redesigned elements exude a sense of speed while retaining the sleek profile synonymous with Honda’s sporty lineup.

One of the key additions to the upgraded CBR400R is the incorporation of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), enhancing rider safety and stability, particularly on slippery surfaces. Complementing this safety feature is the newly adopted 5-inch full-color TFT meter, providing riders with a comprehensive display of vital information in an easily readable format.

Moreover, Honda RoadSync comes as standard equipment, allowing seamless integration between the motorcycle and a smartphone. This feature enables riders to access various apps such as music playback and navigation via the select switch on the handlebars or through voice input using a compatible headset (sold separately), further enhancing the connectivity and convenience of the riding experience.

Available in two distinct color options, “Grand Prix Red” and “Matte Ballistic Black Metallic,” riders can choose between a graphic design with a racing-inspired theme or a minimalist yet striking matte finish.

Delving into the technical specifications, the CBR400R impresses with its dimensions, including a total length of 2,080mm, width of 760mm, and height of 1,145mm, ensuring a balanced and agile ride. With a wheelbase of 1,410mm and a minimum ground clearance of 130mm, the bike promises stability and maneuverability across various road conditions.

Powered by the NC65E water-cooled 4-stroke DOHC 4-valve inline 2-cylinder engine with a total displacement of 399 cc, the CBR400R delivers a maximum output of 46 hp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 38 Nm at 7,500 rpm, providing ample power for exhilarating rides.

The transmission system features a constantly meshing 6-stage gearbox, offering seamless gear transitions for a smooth and responsive ride. With hydraulic double disc brakes at the front and a hydraulic disc brake at the rear, the CBR400R ensures reliable and efficient braking performance.

Equipped with telescopic front suspension and a swing arm rear suspension system, along with a diamond frame configuration, the CBR400R promises a balanced and comfortable ride, whether navigating city streets or carving through winding roads.
